This hits home! I’m a proud partner with my service dog Darcy Athena. She is a black Labrador retriever with a medium/long coat. She’s task trained for PTSD, light guiding, & medical alert. She’s made a world of different in mitigation of the challenges of living with PTSD. I’m no longer afraid of going out to get my daily life done because she’s got my back! Shutting down from disassociation, flashbacks, & panic attacks that can blindside you is terrifying. I still have that happen, but she makes it happen less and brings me to a safe space to recover quickly. She can alert me to ground me enough to prevent a medical episode. This cannot be said enough: dogs are phenomenal! ❤️

I work for MARS petcare. I package in one of their facilities. We work 12 hour shifts, packaging and cleaning so that we keep the workspace hygenic therefore the products safe. Great to see the company collaborate on such great projects. Some of our supervisors are not very good but we truly care about the health if these animals.

I just saw Molly with her new “Gallup 2.0” at the guide dog school and this popped up. We will always love sweet Gallop and so glad he’s staying with her mom in retirement! ❤️🐶

I didn’t know that the blind person was the one who had to make sure it’s safe to cross a street. That must be much harder nowadays when there are more and more electric cars, since electric cars are so quiet.

I can’t fathom the depression and sadness these animals feel after doing tragedy rescues. So brave!

Watching 2 years later, Gallop is now retired. I was a little emotional seeing him work. What a wonderful dog.
